Niamh Spink
Niamh Spink is a Yorkshire based printmaker specialising in monotype. She is endlessly inspired by the natural world and uses location drawings to inspire her prints of British landscapes and wildlife. Niamh predominantly works in monotype, meaning that each of her pieces are one of a kind originals. This is especially important to her as it allows each print to have its own personality, with serendipitous marks and one of a kind mishaps that cannot be repeated. Niamh believes monotype truly captures a sense of wildness in this way, as you never know exactly what will come from the press.
Niamh is currently enjoying illustrating for a living while printmaking as a passion and enjoying searching for new inspiration in the natural world.
Upcoming events
Niamh will be at makers fairs this year alongside her work on display at the Sailor’s Jail in Falmouth, Cornwall.
